The 50 buses officially start operation today

What you need to know about the 50 buses. Earlier today 29th January 2024 an official launch was done for the operational commencement of the buses. The First Lady Fatima Maada Bio and Chief Minister David Moinina David Sengeh graced the occasion and reaffirmed the government's commitment to improving mobility in the Capital city of Freetown. The buses will start free rides tomorrow 30th January 2024 to the 1st of February and start full payment operations on the following day. The cost of the bus ticket is Nle10. The buses run in two corridors: CalabaTown to Bus Station(East Corridor) and Lumley to Bus Station(West Corridor). The buses will only stop and take passengers at every bus stop along the two corridors.
