Youth Minister met with the new UN resident coordinator to Sierra Leone
Our Honourable Minister met with the new UN Resident Coordinator to Sierra Leone and this is what he posted.
Today, I had the privilege of having a one-on-one meeting with the New UN Resident Coordinator to Sierra Leone #SeraphineWakana, and it was truly an enlightening experience. We delved into various topics, but one that stood out was the significance of hosting the YouthConnekt Africa for the Mano River Union Countries in Sierra Leone. We discussed the immense potential of this event in fostering youth employment and development in the region. The UN Resident Coordinator shared insightful ideas on how to make the summit impactful and inclusive, ensuring that the voices of young people are heard and their needs are addressed. Additionally, we discussed the progress of the Status of Youth Report and ways to enhance its effectiveness in advocating for youth empowerment. The meeting was a testament to the UN's commitment to supporting the youth of Sierra Leone and the Mano River Union Countries, and I left feeling hopeful and inspired for the future of youth development not just in Sierra Leone, but the region.
