President Bio receives letter of credence from the ambassador designate of the republic of Liberia
Today, I received the letter of credence from the Ambassador-designate of the Republic of Liberia to Sierra Leone, Madam Angie Kolie Nynemah Laverla Von Ballmoos.
We discussed the longstanding diplomatic relations between our two countries and neighbouring countries, which led to the formation of the Mano River Union in 1975.
We also discussed points of convergence between my Government’s Big 5 Priority Agenda and His Excellency President Joseph Boakai’s priority areas of focus, which includes youth empowerment, agriculture, tourism, technology and innovation, among others.
Sierra Leone and Liberia are bound by a common destiny, share a common border, and have similar experiences. My Government, therefore, remains committed to working closely with Liberia towards safeguarding our territories and promoting our shared interests and brotherly partnerships.
I wish Ambassador Von Ballmoos a peaceful and successful tenure in the Land That We Love, Mama Sa Lone.
